Separate Employee - Retirement

1. 

Select the Manager Self-Service link.

 

The Manager Self-Service menu items display.

2. 

Select the Separations & Retirement link.

 

The Separations and Retirement menu items display.

3. 

Select the Employee Retirement link.

 

A list of your direct reports and any indirect reports display.

4. 

Select the employee who is retiring.

  

The Employee Retirement page displays.

5. 

Enter Separation Effective Date

Add one day to the date the employee last worked or used leave and this is the Separation Effective Date.

6. 

The "Last Date Paid Through" will calculate to be one day less than the Separation Effective Date.

 

Enter Last Date Physically Worked

 

Last Date Physically worked is the date the employee was present on a job site.

 

Often retiring employees will use leave before retiring. Select the last date they were physically at a job site as the Last Date Physically Worked.

 

Select the Last Date Physically Worked field.

7. 

Enter the date the employee was last present on a job site.

8. 

Select the Submit button.

 

The Save Confirmation page displays.

9. 

Select the OK button.

 

A message window displays.

10. 

The message reminds you to direct employees to the Employee Separation Checklist for a list of tasks they are to complete before leaving.

 

Select the OK button to confirm the message.

11. 

The employee will be terminated on the date you identified as the Separation Effective Date.
